Balloons at Villa Cosmos

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Wedding Coordinator is puting some white balloons just outside the Villa, so that you can spot the Villa from the street. The Villa Address is Carretera a Barra de Navidad KM 3.5 (just south of the Dreams Hotel), Colonia Conchas Chinas. Most taxi drivers shouldn't have a problem finding it, but in case they do.....look out for the white balloons!! :)

Halloween Spirit

Hope everyone is doing great!! Matt and I realize that everyone is missing out on Halloween because you will be in Mexico with us. Soooooooooooo, we decided to make our cocktail party at Bodeguita del Medio Halloween friendly. :) We both LOVE Halloweeen, so it would be fun to have people dressing up on Friday. Don't feel obligated to dress up, but if you love Halloween as much as we do, please pack your costumes!! :)

We chose a place called La Bodeguita del Medio, which is a cuban bar-restaurant located on the Malecón (Boardwalk) in Puerto Vallarta. We chose this unique rustic bar-restaurant because it has lots of character. La Bodeguita has a live cuban band, which makes this place a fun place to be. Also, they are famous for their mojitos, they serve great food, there is a great view, and you get to leave your autograph on the wall.

Jumpin the Gun

Don't expect Matt and I to leave our Wedding early to go on a honeymoon, we already went. :) he he he We like to do things a little different in our relationship, so we we took our honeymoon in July. We chose to go to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and we had a fabulous time. We loved San Juan, and we hope to go back on our 50th Anniversary!! :)

Just wanted to give everyone an idea of where the Wedding Venue is located. The Villa (Villa Cosmos) is located in Conchas Chinas just South from El Centro (which is roughly the area where most of our guests are staying). A cab ride from El Centro to Conchas Chinas should only be about 5 minutes. :)

Invitations are out!! :) If you have received your invitation, please don't forget to return response card once you know if you will be attending or not. :) I hope to see everyone there, but we totally understand that sometimes it just isn't possible.....but please try to make it. ;) Only 82 more days!!

The planning of the wedding is so exciting!! I always thought that planning a wedding would be stressful. I watch so many shows where the bride is going crazy about flowers or cake. lol I just can't see myself stressing about little things like that, so I have a feeling this is all going to be fun! We have an awesome Wedding Designer/Coordinator named Mishka who is soooo easy to work with. I will send her an email with loads of random ideas, and she totally gets me. I will say something like, "I want romance, red, candles, old feel, lanterns, nothing modern....do you know what I mean?", and she says, "You mean Old-World Rustic Charm?"...I love it!! :) We are in the beginning stages of our design, so I have been psycho e-mailing Mishka pictures of things that we like (centerpieces, cakes, bouquets, etc.). I try to run things by Matt first, just in case he objects to something, but we almost always agree on these things. :)

There is plenty to do in Puerto Vallarta. I have been doing a little research, and i have a loooong list of restaurants that sound good. lol Our Wedding Designer lives in Puerto Vallarta, so I will ask her to recommend the best restaurants, places to see, ....& bars ;), so that I can Post them on our blogspot later. ;)

I will be posting more frequently now, so check in every now and then for updates. :)

Wedding Location

We FINALLY found a location for our wedding!!! Our wedding will be held at Villa Cosmos in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on November 1, 2009. We look forward to having all ouf our closest friends & family with us on our special day.
